About us:
Located just off the historic High Street, Book Leighton Buzzard was founded in 2021 as the town’s only independent bookshop. We’re a general bookseller, stocking fiction, non-fiction, children’s, classics, cookery and gardening, as well as a range of graphic novels and manga.
We also offer an ordering service for those hard to track down titles.
We aim to be a hub for all book-lovers, young and old, and as well as selling books, we host story times, author signings and events, work with local schools and community groups and take our shop on the road to events and festivals.
We pride ourselves on our friendly service and like to get to know our customers well. We’ll look forward to seeing you soon!

Calvin, Bookseller:
Inducted into an obsession with fiction from an extremely young age, Calvin has only spent approximately 42% of his life with his head outside of a book. His tastes range across science fiction, fantasy, noir crime, horror, graphic novels and manga, and he’s forgotten more about Star Wars than most people know.
Calvin is your friendly face behind the counter at the weekends and on Thursdays. Come say hi!
James and Kathy, Directors:
James and Kathy are the directors of Book, and you’ll often see them popping into the shop with their little boy and dog, Trixie. They’re Leighton Buzzard locals and passionate about supporting the growth of the town’s independent shop scene.
